General Education Development (GED)
Program Description

The GED program is designed for students preparing to take the GED Tests (high school equivalency exam).

        Neighborhood Network Center and Meridian Community College, is striving to make our Education Programs the best in the Area.  Programs offered at NNC  are as follows: Adult  Basic Education, Gerneral education Develpoment GED Classes. The Adult Education Classes are available to those residents who do not have a high school diploma or its equivalent.  All residents are tested, and based on their TABE and Locator scores they are assigned in  Adult Basic Education, or GED.  We offer material covering Mathematics, English, and Social Studies, Science and Essay Writing to help the resident develop an acceptable degree of skills.  

       The NNC center is dedicated to providing residents with the opportunity to learn on an individual basis and to develop the potential to succeed in their many goals that they have set for themselves. This commitment is based upon the belief that our residents can and will learn to become more productive and effective individuals.

       Therefore, the program shall provide innovative and individualized learning programs and environments which foster growth as a reasoning person, a citizen, a learner, a family member, a worker, and a consumer.  This philosophy will be reflected through the quality provision of services and the respect of individuals, for both staff and student by placing an emphasis on a personal and dignifying approach to program delivery.
