Workforce Education Program Description

This program was designed for new entrants into the labor market, temporarily dislocated workers, currently employed workers, and the long-term unemployed.

The Workforce Education program was designed to highlight the social and personal competencies that people acquire throughout their lives to deal with everyday events and situations.  One’s life skills, may or may not be adequate or sufficient to cope or solve problems effectively. Of course, only a few people are capable of handling all situations encountered, and most people have gaps in their ability to do so. Many have serious needs for more effective ways of coping with events and/or situations.

Our Workforce Education Program was particularly designed for those individuals (residents) who need further training in the following areas:

  •  Personal and Interpersonal Skills.
  •  Employability Skills; Dressing for Sucess, Interviewing Skills
  •  Getting along with fellow Employees and Supervisors.
  •  Workforce Ethics
Because our program is more generic in nature, the training provided can and does contribute to these as well as other areas of personal and social adjustments needed by our residents today and tomorrow.
