Updating Your Website

You can edit, change, and add to all of the pages of your website except for the index.html, navigation.html, and top.html. These three pages must never be edited. These pages make up what is called your template. To update your template contact Hamil.

To update the contents of your website install the Mozilla browser. Once it is installed launch it and click onto the Help button. Click onto Help Contents. Click Index. Scroll down until you see H. Click onto HTML to expand its opitions if it is not already expanded. Click Inserting HTML in Composer. Read over all of the information in this section so that you can get a good understanding of Composer works. After you are finished reading close the help section. Click onto Window and choose Composer. Click Edit and choose Publishing site settings. Type Meridian Housing Authority for the Site Name. Type the ftp address of your host server. Type http://www.meridianhousing.net for the HTTP address of your homepage. Type your ftp username and password. Click onto the Save Password opition. Click the OK button. You are now setup to upload your files to your web server. Click File and click Open File. Choose the file that you want to edit and click the open button. Edit your file. After editing click File and click save. Click onto the Publish button to upload the file to your host.
