BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
Wilbert Jones, Chairman
Mr. Jones has served on the MHA Board of Commissioners since 1995. He holds a Master's in Education and a B.S. in Business Administration/Accounting. Mr. Jones is the CEO of the Greater Meridian Health Clinic, Inc. Other memberships in the community for Mr. Jones include the National Association of Community Health Centers, the Meridian Optimist Club and the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation. Mr. Jones also serves on the board of the Alcorn State National Alumni Association.
Donnie Smith, Vice Chairman
Mr. Smith is currently Vice President of Human Resources and Public Relations for Rush Health Systems. He is a past-member of the Mississippi Hospital Association Board of Governors and is past President of MHA's Society of Human Resources. Smith received the American Hospital Association's Partnership for Action Grassroots Champion Award for Mississippi in 2007. He is very active with the Board of Directors of United Way and serves on the Meridian Workforce Council, the Architectural Review Board of the City of Meridian and is a board member for the State Games of Mississippi. He is active with the Area Council of Boy Scouts. EMBDC Existing Business Committee, serving as Chairman for the past three years and EMBDC's Committee on Education. Donnie is a member and past President of the Meridian Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow.
Sylvia Autry, Commissioner
Ms. Autry is a new appointee to the MHA Board of Commissioners. Mrs. Autry retired in 2008 after a forty-five year career in the Meridian Public School District, serving the last nine years as Superintendent of the Meridian Public School District.
Jeanell Kidd, Commissioner
Ms. Kidd has served on the MHA Board of Commissioners since 1989. She graduated from Meharry Medical College as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is employed with the Meridian Public School District and Riley Memorial Hospital. Ms. Kidd is also a member of the School Nurses Association, the Elks Lodge and the Negro Business and Professional Women's Association.
Brandon Pratt , Commissioner
Mr. Pratt has served on the MHA Board of Commissioners since 2009. He hold a B.B.A in Banking and Finance from the University of Mississippi. A Vice President with Community Bank, Mr. Pratt holds positions on the boards of the Choctaw Area Boy Scouts, United Way, Kiwanis Club, and Young Professionals of Meridian.
