MHA'S FAIR HOUSING POLICY

It is the policy of the MHA to comply fully with all Federal, State, and local nondiscrimination laws in accordance with the rules and regulations governing Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity in housing and employment and with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Specifically, the MHA shall not on account of race, color, sex, religion, creed, national or ethnic origin, family status, disability or handicap, deny any family or individual the opportunity to apply for or receive assistance under HUD's Public Housing Programs, within the requirements and regulations of HUD and other regulatory authorities.

To further its commitment to full compliance with applicable Civil Rights laws the MHA will provide access to information to public housing residents regarding "discrimination". This subject will be discussed during the briefing sessions and any complaints will be documented and made part of the applicant's/tenant's file.
