HOW TO APPLY FOR PUBLIC HOUSING

Applications for Public Housing may be picked up Monday through Friday at the Meridian Housing Authority Community Service Center located at 2305 D Street, Meridian, Mississippi or call (601) 693-2800 with any questions.

Once the application is completed it may be returned to the Community Service Center on Wednesdays and Fridays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 pm. Please have available Social Security Cards and Birth Certificates for all family members, and picture ID's for all family members over age of 18.  Copies of these documents will be made as part of your application package.

Waiting Lists Open

The Meridian Housing Authority Section 8/Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is CLOSED until further notice.

The Meridian Housing Authority will be accepting applications for its Public Housing waiting list for families that qualify for 1 and 2 bedrooms beginning Wednesday, November 17 and will remain open until further notice.  The 3 - 4 - 5 bedroom waiting list remains open.

NOTE:  Applications may be picked up Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm at Meridian Housing Authority’s Community Service Center located at 2305 D Street next to newly renovated Mountain View Village Apartments (601) 693-2800. 

Completed applications will be accepted on Wednesdays and Fridays only between the hours of 9:00 am – 3:00 pm at the receptionist’s desk.  No applications are accepted after 3:00 p.m.
