Executive Director’s Message – February 2018

EnVision Pillars of Self-Sufficiency HUD is inviting all housing authorities to submit proposals to institute the EnVision Center Demonstration program. This program will focus on developing families to become self-sufficient through the concept of the four foundational pillars of self-sufficiency. Economic Empowerment, Educational Advancement, Health and Wellness and Character and Leadership. MHA is positioned to take on this challenge and will be submitting a proposal soon; it should be kept in mind that this is a highly competitive program, since only 10 housing authority throughout the United States will be selected to participate. The opportunity to provide MHA residents with a viable solution to move from government subsistence to a life of independent self-sufficiency is one of the greatest challenges we face.

I am encouraging all interested residents to take advantage of the FSS, ROSS and Homeownership programs and if MHA is selected for the EnVision Center Demonstration program you will be one step ahead in achieving your goal of self-sufficiency.

Economic Empowerment

                           Educational Advancement

Health and Wellness                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Character & Leadership

MHA remains committed to giving  residents the greatest chance for success and fulfilling their goals. MHA wants to ensure that every resident desiring a home and a life not depending on government subsidies will have that opportunity.
