Executive Director’s Message – September 2018

The proposed five year Annual Plan of the Meridian Housing Authority was officially made available for public review and comments beginning July 16, 2018 and will remain on public display through November 9, 2018.  The plan is currently on display and can be reviewed in the lobby of the Meridian Housing Authority’s Central Office at 2425 E Street between the hours of 9:00a.m. and 4:00p.m. Monday – Friday.  An important public hearing will be held to discuss the plan on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 5:00p.m. in MHA’s professional development training room located at 2425 E Street.

I appreciate the valuable input expressed by MHA’s staff, Board of Commissioners and Resident Advisory Board during this process.  The plan is a comprehensive guide to MHA’s policies, programs and operations goals for meeting local public housing needs.  Public Housing Authorities are required to submit a five year plan to HUD once every fifth fiscal year and an annual plan which is submitted each year.
