Executive Director’s Post – January, 2016

Executive Director’s Message

January, 2016

Although 2015 presented several challenges for both employees and residents of the Meridian Housing Authority (MHA), I remain in deep appreciation for the effort, persistency and commitment exemplified at our agency over the past twelve (12) months. We must now approach “2016” with an even greater determination to succeed and a renewed dedication to our motto “Committed to Excellence”.

In order to continue to provide adequate and affordable housing opportunities to all eligible citizens in Meridian, we must remain:

  • Committed to Excellence as we promote and encourage the highest level of ethics within our organization.
  • Committed to Excellence as we serve over 1,297 families with dedication, concern, courtesy and responsiveness.
  • Committed to Excellence as we strive to build strong viable communities for all Meridian citizens, particularly those with low and moderate incomes.
  • Committed to Excellence as we strengthen the participation of our Resident Advisory Board (RAB).
  • Committed to Excellence as we partner with the Meridian Police Department to maintain crime free neighborhoods for our residents.
  • Committed t Excellence as we continue to adopt the MHA team concept and support each department within our organization.
  • Committed to Excellence as we continue to receive HUD recognition as a high performing housing authority.

Thank you for your loyalty and effort. I look forward to a great, productive and successful new year.  Please visit our website at www.meridianhousing.net to learn more about the programs and purpose of the Meridian Housing Authority.

When you begin to define the character of a community, one of the things you look for is its relation to other housing in the neighborhood…

Does any housing standout or do they blend seamlessly? Is it compatible with the other housing?
